HISTORY
Thanasse Physiotherapy has served patients in Orillia and area since 1987. Over the years we specialized in the treatment of WSIB injuries, motor vehicle accident injuries, orthopaedic and complex pain and movement problems. We operated the only Ontario Ministry of Health OHIP service in Orillia until 2015. We practice evidence-based physiotherapy, which involves using the most up-to-date medical and rehabilitation research to provide the patient with the best therapy treatment options.
I have recently closed the clinic and am no longer actively seeing clients as I am transitioning into retirement. I am available to answer your questions about physiotherapy services and needs.
David Thanasse PT
David graduated from Queen's University School of Rehabilitation Medicine in 1982 obtaining a B.Sc. (Physiotherapy). He worked as a clinical physiotherapist at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital for 2 years and then worked under contract with the Ontario Ministry of Health Underserviced Area Program, operating 2 clinics in the towns of Beaverton and Cannington. He started his Orillia, Ontario private practice in 1987 He has also taught the physiotherapy component of the Health Care Aide Program for Seneca College in Toronto.
David is a member in good standing of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and of the Canadian Society of Clinical Hypnosis (Ontario) and has a certificate in Teaching and Training Adults from Georgian College in Barrie. Over the years, David has had a variety of interests including youth coaching in hockey and soccer where he has won a variety of awards; clinical hypnosis and recreational curling and hockey. He is licensed and regulated by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

At Wyndham Physio we assess each condition and tailor a treatment appropriate for that condition. Our clinic prides itself on more active therapy, be it hands on treatment, dry needling, guided exercises and stretching or rehabilitation, we will work with you to get the most out of every minute you spend with us during the consultation.
